About
Gertie
Is “Good Food Every Day.” It’s a space for our community to gather and celebrate. It’s got a table for you to catch up with friends and family or simply sit with a coffee and your thoughts. Just like at Grandma’s.
What will you find at Gertie?
Freshly baked bagels and pastries, riffs on NY deli sandwiches + sides, big salads, matzo ball soup and more Jew-ish diner inspired comfort food.
Plus, we’ve got an espresso bar stocked with Parlor Coffee and of course a fully stocked liquor bar with nostalgic cocktails inspired by Dr. Brown’s soda fountain, natural wines and local beers.

Gertie for Good
Gertie believes rewriting the restaurant business model and finding ‘win-win’ solutions that support the community, employees, and have impact beyond the restaurant’s four walls, is the only way forward.
That’s why during the pandemic GERTIE morphed into a nonprofit community kitchen - in partnership with Rethink Food and City Harvest. Since 2020, GERTIE prepared over 50,000 meals for distribution to underserved communities across New York City.
Thanks to the New York Times, Zagat, NY Post, NBC New York, MSNBC and more for telling our story.
